ABSTRACT
As with other aspects of government, citizens have the right to expect and demand that planning occur in a fair, open, and transparent manner. As a planning commissioner, it is your responsibility to help provide a forum conducive to these expectations and demands. You should be aware of and become familiar with ethical principles and use them to guide not only your behavior, but to ensure that every participant in the planning processes experiences the fair, open, and transparent forum to which he or she is entitled.
