ABSTRACT

Rustin Park complex in Southlake, Texas, is made up of three blocks: the first

contains a water feature, the second a green space with a central fountain,

and the third houses the city hall. Rustin Park is designed to be the signature

“front door” of Southlake. However, the park seems out of proportion in rela-

tion to the height of adjacent buildings; it lacks enclosure and seems too large

a space, especially when a major event is not taking place.
