ABSTRACT
Edgemar is a unique mixed use development containing galleries, performance spaces, shops, offices,
restaurants, outdoor seating, and a water feature. Originally a dairy, the property was refashioned in the
1980s as an arts district. While Edgemar’s form, architecture, and materials palette are contemporary,
the design and scale of the plaza are classically proportioned. Pedestrians enter through one of several
passages from the street. Current tenants at Edgemar include a variety of arts-oriented retailers, a beauty
salon, an architecture studio, a coffee shop, and the Edgemar Center for the Arts.
