ABSTRACT

A nationwide survey of 263 top business executives indicates two-thirds of them want to protect the environment even if it means slowing economic growth…. roughly 60% of the general public polled on the same issue said they would be willing to pay more for products and services in order to clean up the environment. More than 55% of these respondents said they want to maintain current antipollution standards even if that forces some factories to close.
