ABSTRACT

Before any land is subdivided the owner of the property proposed to be subdivided, or his authorized agent, shall apply for and secure approval of the proposed subdivision in accordance with the following procedures. Which include two principal steps for a minor subdivision and three principal steps for a major subdivision: minor and major subdivision. As the developer proceeds from initial pre-application conference with the administrative assistant and the submission of the sketch plat, to the more detailed tentative and final plats, an agreement is reached on the overall concept and best design for the subdivision and the conditions necessary to mitigate the impact of the development on the community. This methodology assures the developer that there is always one official with whom all papers shall be filed and information received about the progress of the application, especially when the application must be reviewed by numerous departments of the municipality and outside federal, state, regional, and local officials and governments.
