ABSTRACT

Developed between 1987 and 1990, Bellevue Downtown Park serves as the

central event space for a Seattle suburb. The park’s centerpiece is a lawn encir-

cled by a tree-lined promenade. At the northern end of the park is a small plaza

that accommodates a stage for large events. Other significant design elements

include a large waterfall and reflecting pond, a rose garden, and benches near

the remnant foundations of structures once part of the site.
