ABSTRACT
As Pasadena’s primary commercial corridor, Colorado Boulevard offers a variety of shops and restaurants
in a historic downtown environment. Streetside dining and large storefront awnings encourage shoppers
to walk. Upper stories include creative office and retail space. Historic Pasadena’s downtown is served by
two Metro Gold Line stations (Memorial Park Station and DelMar Station), as well as several bus routes
that run along Colorado Boulevard. The city helped to finance the retrofitting of several historic build-
ings with elevators to facilitate adaptive reuse. There are parking structures at perimeter locations with
pedestrian linkages to Colorado Boulevard.
