ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will introduce elementary set theory. Although, this theory as an independent branch of mathematics was founded by the German mathematician George Cantor (1845–1918) in the second half of the 19th century, it turned out to be the unifying foundation to almost all branches of mathematics.
