ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will study the convergence of sequences of functions. We will introduce pointwise and uniform convergences, show that pointwise convergence lacks several important properties, provide some necessary and sufficient criteria for the uniform convergence, and prove that the deficiencies of the pointwise convergence are regained by the uniform convergence.
