ABSTRACT

From the classical period through the Middle Ages to modern times, E. Durkheim illustrated the constructing process of contract rights, property rights and democratic regimes in terms of the status of mores. Comprehending life experiences as well as spiritual traditions, unveiling a possibility for world history, thus founded sociology. The first great leap forward was launched by Kang Youwei's revolution of the Chinese classics. Kang's theory is similar to the natural historical view based on general history, arguing against the long-established idea "to always rule the world by laws of the Era of War". Kang believed that Western Christianity in the middle Ages was necessary for their transformation from monarchy to civil rights in the modern sense. Kang's theories as an extreme idea of the revolution of Chinese classics become the key resources for later social transitions. The ruler took the migration of Han intellectuals as an opportunity to have their regime and institutions revised by these scholars.
