ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to present a new model of the role of the project leader in business environment based on the principles of the Performance Trilogy®. As with Personal and Executive Leadership, Project Leadership requires executing the fundamentals of the Performance Trilogy, Strategy, Execution, and Leadership development. The chapter focuses on how a project leader can use the fundamentals in the Performance Trilogy to maximize project and company performance. A good project leader must have a strategy for every aspect of the client-service model, including relationship management, service delivery, and technology development. Since technology development is often developed on project, the project leader must be actively involved in ensuring that ideas for new technology development are discussed at project meetings. During and at the completion of the project, the project leader conducts lessons-learned meetings to congratulate the team on successful project completion and identify areas for future improvement and the project and individual level.
