ABSTRACT
This behaviour is illustrated by obsessive re-drafting of work and distress when mistakes are made. It is indicative of low self-confidence and fear of failing. The student needs to know that perfection is not necessarily the point of a task and that making mistakes is an important part of learning. Fear of being wrong means that a student will not take risks and have a go at something.
