ABSTRACT
Addressing uniform infringements can be a distraction for teachers and at times inhibit the building of constructive relationships. Responses need to be low-key. Students are more likely to be proud of their school uniform if they are proud of their school and feel they belong. Sending students home for not wearing the correct uniform undermines one of the reasons for having a uniform.
