ABSTRACT
Criterion-referenced measures provide results in the form of passed-failed, and so do not lend themselves to inferential statistical testing. To test validity we look for consistency with the criterion criterion-referenced score in terms of passed-failed. Phi, which is bit more complex and might be thought of as a sort of correlation for criterion-referenced scores can also be calculated.
