ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at a new concept or model which focused on conflict arising from the way people live their life. The Life Conflicts People Model consists of authors' interpretation and elaboration of the three most useful ideas for living a life. There are three sources of innate conflict in this model: no meaning, no sense of being uplifted and no sense of being able to achieve what people set out to achieve. The three positive states that correspond with these conflicted states are Existence, Elevation and Efficacy. In order to illustrate each of the three states, the author have used an extract written by one well-known person. These can be interpreted at two levels: the ordinary level of business language and the People Model level of people language. Any statement made by people in business or the public sector must make sense at an emotional level or it will not be interpreted properly by human beings.
