ABSTRACT

Throughout this book the primary purpose has been to provide you with a combination of opportunities to engage in personal reflection and professional enquiry from theoretical and practical standpoints. Teaching is a reflective process, and requires teachers to be dynamic practitioners who are ready to constantly ask critical questions of what, why, where, how, and when teaching, learning and assessment should take place. What is important to remember is that teachers have their own particular personality, characteristics and approach to teaching, which is what is so great about teaching. It is hoped that the chapters in this book have offered opportunities for clarity and reflection. This final chapter sets out to provide a brief overview of the key themes and principles that have been discussed in the previous chapters, whilst offering some context for structuring work with children with SEND in PE.
