Corruption Control in Public Administration
This chapter focuses on how public organizations try to ensure public integrity and prevent corruption. Finding the right approach and balance between various control measures, such as those relying on law and rule enforcement and those relying on the values of individual government employees, is easier said than done. Examples are provided from both national and international organizations and look at how they approach this issue. In this exploration of integrity and control approaches we refer to changes in public administration, especially those which have shifted public functions to the private sector by applying market values to governance.
