ABSTRACT

Tumors come with vastly heterogeneous molecular, histologic, and radiologic landscape. In order to precisely assess the spatio-temporal intra- and peri-tumoral heterogeneity in the radiographic level, which may describe various histologically distinct tumor sub-regions reflecting different biological properties, accurate segmentation labels need to be obtained. Accurate tumor segmentation can be considered as the basis for extracting radiomic features from specific anatomical regions, which can then be used to evaluate disease properties and correlate with treatment response, patient prognosis, and molecular characteristics.
