ABSTRACT
In May 2018, Jogi Löw, head coach of the German national team, will announce his squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia. By then he and his coaching staff will have seen many Bundesliga and Champions League matches and they now have their impressions of potential players. He will also have access to physiological data, such as sprinting or running performances and qualitative information from his scouts and match analysts in the team led by Urs Siegenthaler, Christofer Clemens, and Dr. Stephan Nopp. The previous chapters presented new KPIs, based on positional data that can be evaluated in seconds, providing another option for the evaluation of individual performances. This chapter includes a quiz, in which the reader can select between the pressure efficiency index between two players of the German national football team, before seeing the actual benchmarks.
