Building the structures for change

ByClive Wilson

As a consequence of engagement, people become involved in all manner of activities. This chapter examines how structures can be put in place to make change more effective and efficient. We identify the role of organisations, networks, social media, plans, legislation, funding mechanisms and so on. The topic is massive so this narrative is really only the tip of the iceberg. However, in order to play a useful part, we explore how, when inspired by a powerful purpose and vision, individuals can respond quickly to build structure around their efforts to make a difference.
