ABSTRACT
This chapter presents profiles of Nancy Nouaimeh and Raju Ravi Prakash. Both Nouaimeh and Prakash discuss their passion for quality and how, within their organizations, they develop people for quality. Prakash is a group quality assurance manager who has primarily worked in the construction industry and has overseen the implementation of the ISO 9001 standard across several business units. Teams are important aspect of managing quality, although team-building is a huge process that takes time, training, and perseverance. Often, the entire culture of the workplace itself must go through some significant changes to be conducive to a teamwork philosophy. Quality tools and methodologies will be useful in areas such as innovation and sustainability, where structured approaches and measurements are necessary to demonstrate the effectiveness of new ideas and to determine their impacts both before and after implementation. Quality professionals might see their functions changed to broader scopes.
