ABSTRACT
Chapter 13 is one of the most valuable and complete chapters and is seldom found in an introductory statistics textbook. In this chapter, correlational and regression statistics, mean difference statistics, and other advanced statistical procedures are presented. In each case, a review of the simplest models that have already been presented in the textbook is followed by a discussion of related advanced statistical tests. This discussion includes a description of the test, the conditions under which it is appropriate, and an example to illustrate its application. Included at the end of the chapter is a table summarizing the conditions under which various advanced statistical procedures are appropriate.
