ABSTRACT

The 21st century highlights the positive impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on teaching thinking. Yet, ICT integration is primarily focused on the acquisition of technical skills. Therefore, the big challenge is not just infusing technology, but changing the culture of teaching thinking with technology. This chapter reviews studies conducted in Greek kindergartens on the implications of Project Zero’s “8 Cultural Forces” framework with regard to ICT use. The insights provided by these studies recognize ICT integration as a process that contributes to building a “digital” culture that makes thinking more visible and extends it beyond the classroom’s walls.
