ABSTRACT
Readers will gain a basic understanding of theory-generating meta-synthesis research, including how it differs from other types of qualitative meta-syntheses, quantitative meta-analyses, and primary research investigations. Readers will understand the general methodology that underpins theory-generating meta-synthesis research, and they will be able to explain how meta-synthesis-generated theory can be used to individualize patient care.
