As events have turned out, the hopes expressed in that Article for “the future happiness and prosperity of the new Protectorate” must be transferred to the new regime of an independent self-governing Egypt. e point to be here emphasized, however, is that these successive changes of Egyptian status have not a ected the separate character of the Sudan Administration.
