ABSTRACT
It was quite clear that a murderous attack had been made on the poor man; and perceiving those, who, I doubted not were the perpetrators of the crime, about to quit the house, I sprung furiously forward, leaving the sufferer to the care of the other inmates, who now began to issue from their several apartments, with shrieks of horror, and fearfully varied exclamations of alarm.
