ABSTRACT

The day drew near for our meeting the pugilists at Belcher’s, to arrange the wrestling match. Wilton was in the highest spirits about it, and talked of his victory over the braggadocio, 228 as if it had been already gained. I confess I was rather doubtful of the day, when I considered the superior weight and muscle of his antagonist; and yet I trusted much to Wilton’s skill.
