ABSTRACT
What we now give will have more the appearance of a monologue than of a dialogue, being a faithful representation / of the conversations of some great philosophers. The interruptions of dissent to the discourse of a philosopher, is like loosening the wool of a spinning-wheel, which can never perform its useful labour, if the said wool be not firmly affixed to the iron spindle.
