ABSTRACT
The person now engaged in conversation with Le Noir, was a stanch whig. On finding the quarrel had arisen, from the violent party prejudices of his former companion, he conceived a partiality for our missionary, / as a kind of sufferer in the cause of freedom, and was desirous of entering into further conversation; – a motion that was not declined by him; and to work they both went, vying with each other in the warmest panegyricks on public liberty, and lamenting the present decay of it over the whole world, (France excepted) and especially in this island.
