The next morning Henry Beverley proposed going into Devonshire to his father. Sir Edward Eaglefield endeavoured to prevail on him to delay his journey for a day or two, when he purposed returning himself to Eaglefield Castle, with his mother and sister, as he expected a visit from Mr. Fraser and his family, and hoped to prevail on Mr. and Mrs. Hawthorn and Lydia to accompany them as well as Mr. Aldworth and his nephew; neither was Sammy left out of the invitation.
