ABSTRACT
A procedure is described for mobilizing ICT resources in order to implement collaborative tutorial conversations with large undergraduate classes. The method allows intense, intimate and regular face-to-face conversations the consequences of which are used as grounding for traditional lecture presentations. Data from focus group discussion, system logs, and measures of student contribution indicate the intervention ran smoothly, was popular, economical and effective.
