ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the problems that industrial engineers face when dealing with nonrepetitive effort. Examples of situations where this occurs are the development of a new product or service and the building of a new manufacturing or service facility. Project management models, tools, and techniques are the basis of the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of such nonrepetitive efforts.
