ABSTRACT
In general, not only an axial compressive load but also a bending moment is applied to all members of an automobile when a collision occurs. It is therefore important to understand the collapse behavior of members during the bending deformation to evaluate strength and energy absorption characteristics. In this chapter, the bending deformation of circular or square tubes is discussed.
