ABSTRACT

Introduction Collaboration is a key factor for successful development of spacecraft. It is a broad term and has many meanings because exchange of information is needed all along the development life cycle. A successful design directly depends on sharing necessary information with others and, on the other hand, comprehending and using relevant information as input for your own work. Modeling and simulation is extensively used in spacecraft design and appears in many different varieties throughout the whole development life cycle. It covers a wide range, from simple orbit simulations based on analytical equations to high-delity and multidomain simulations using distributed high-performance computers. In today’s large-scale, complex projects, traditional engineering approaches reach
