ABSTRACT

The vector product, also called cross product, is an operation defined on the

three-dimensional Euclidean space that associates to each pair of vectors a

third vector in a prescribed manner inspired on both geometrical and physical

applications, for instance, the velocity vector of a point within a solid body

rotating steadily about an axis and the angular momentum about the origin of

a moving particle. In Geometry, the equation of a straight line can be written

in terms of a vector product.
