ABSTRACT
The tensor calculus extends the notion of derivative of scalar quantities and
vectors to more complex entities called tensors by combining methods from
linear algebra and vector calculus. Basically, the required tools are the chang-
ing of bases of vector spaces and the transformation of coordinates between
two different systems of coordinates.
