Wildlife Monitoring

There are several aspects to be considered while applying sensors and realtime systems to wildlife monitoring. A traditional one has been the use of radio transmitters and receivers to monitor location of animals, particularly mammals and birds. Of great interest are those sensors that, in addition to location, can give us additional information such as environmental conditions and physiological conditions of the animal. This technology helps us have extensive long-term data collected repeatedly and directly from individual animals.
