ABSTRACT
This section presents a survey of the types of analyses that systems engineers and design teams perform in support of designing new systems, products, or services. Feasibility studies, trade studies, and alternative analyses are highlighted in this chapter. These are the integral parts of the systems engineering (SE) approach to undertaking complex, costly, and risky projects through the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
