ABSTRACT
The papers brought together in this volume are all representative of a growing interest on the part of geographers in what has been very loosely termed the behavioral approach to geographical problems. Eight of the papers, since revised, were originally presented at an arranged session at the annual meetings of the Association of American Geographers, Washington, D. C., 1968, The two additional papers were solicited for that meeting but were not available at that time.
