ABSTRACT
The Water Act 1989 (Vic) (‘Water Act 1989’) is the primary legislative instrument governing water access, use and management in Victoria. Accordingly, for Victoria’s Traditional Owners to participate in the management of water resources it is essential that their interests be recognised in that Act.
