ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes the several empirical interviews carried out as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) project. The interviewees work in a 3D printing (3DP) company aimed mainly at education in schools. The interviewee has built a company for over four years. They mainly focus on 3D modelling technology. They design and manufacture the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology 3D printers, and then sell them all around the world. The interviewee's company was established in 2014, and they mainly conduct experiments of metallic materials and 3D printing metal. 3D printing includes metallic and non-metallic materials. The interviewee runs a 3D technology company. They are doing services including 3D design through printers, sample prototype making and small quantity production. The interviewee company mainly sells 3D printers to the export market. The main business activities of this company are 3D scanning and data modelling, and the main application is robots.
