ABSTRACT

Art-A-Hack’s method of creative collaboration privileges art and process over technical exactitude to create something new by incorporating analyses from Bruno Latour’s Actor Network Theory to facilitate and manage creative collaboration solutions. From an open call, professional individuals were selected for a co-lab in Cyborg Arts at Parsons/New School University in New York City. With the assistance of the Cyborg Foundation’s Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas, they were split into three teams that Parsons’ students could join, with additional experts and guests visiting throughout the semester. The co-lab produced incremental breakthroughs resulting in proof of concept artworks.
