ABSTRACT

Nowadays, the nature of dynamism encourages organizations to focus more on knowledge as a strategic resource. In knowledge management, knowledge sharing is the most important activity. Even though many previous studies have discussed the benefits of knowledge sharing, only a few studies have examined the importance of the contingency factor. Thus, this study seeks to investigate the influence of environmental context on the relationship between knowledge sharing and its outcomes. The results of this study suggest that knowledge sharing is important to improve the innovative work behavior and job satisfaction of the expatriate. Also, environmental context has been proven to strengthen the influence of those relationships. These findings are expected to contribute new insight for academicians and management.
