ABSTRACT

This research aims to determine the impact of Talent Management (TM) on student performance in higher education. Seven important success factors of TM have been identified selection, retention, training, rewards, development, succession planning and career management—in relation to students in both state and private universities. The research method used was a descriptive and exploratory survey. The questionnaires were randomly distributed among students of several universities in Indonesia, mainly in Jakarta city. SPSS 23 software was used to perform validity and reliability test, and regression analysis. The results of this study support the proposed hypotheses that there are significant relationships between TM and student performance. The implications of the results of this study are that if a student takes a course in a field appropriate to their talent then their success rate could be increased.
