ABSTRACT

At the time of graduation, not all students have a satisfactory Grade Point Average (GPA) in accordance with the quality standards set by the university. The GPA itself is often used as a measurement by many companies or institutions during the recruitment process of prospective employees. This study is to determine the extent that internal and external factors have in influencing the improvement of a student’s’—GPA. A survey method associative research was used in this study. The data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to Diploma students (D3) majoring in a-Management- Study course, in the classes of 2012, 2013, and 2014. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is significant influence from internal and external factors on students’ GPA. In an effort to improve student’s GPA, it is better for the university to pay attention to both internal and external factors.
