Diversity indigestion is very common in all management cultures on this planet. From mildly annoying heartburn and name-calling behind the back, its symptoms range to the worst verbal abuse and even physical aggression. As an internal management team disorder diversity indigestion is very tedious. Organizations used to believe that contradictions and conflicts automatically weakened productivity in a team. Diversity is the core fuel for development of a team and the foundation of excellence for a Stellar Team. The diversity of the management team becomes visible if people agree to look in the mirror together. Promoting, controlling, supporting and analysing behaviours with different emphases can be found in every management team. Management teams typically represent dominating behaviour. Diversity in management teams sparks and develops tensions and disagreement for sure. The collective performance of the team is based on how well its members collaborate for a common purpose. An essential competence of leadership is the ability to act upon identified problems.
