Ordinary differential equations of first order: methods for explicit solutions

In the previous Chapter 4 we exposed the general theory, concerning conditions for existence and uniqueness of an initial value problem. Here, we consider some important particular situations, in which, due to the structure of certain kind of scalar ordinary differential equations, it is possible to establish methods to determine their explicit solution.
