ABSTRACT

The microorganisms used for bioremediation may be indigenous of the polluted habitat or may be isolated from different sites. Environmental biotransformation related to growth, survival, and development of organisms and microbes is very common process on earth. Bioremediation shall gain more fame and interest for scientists toward biodegradation of organopollutants contaminated soil and water. Due to all the aspects of terrestrial ecosystem, different bioremediation technologies need to evolve to remediate the different regions and thereby removal of pesticides from environmental systems needs special focus and attention. There are several benefits of pesticides to human to protect from some environmental enemies and good lifestyle. The increasing difficulties experienced with pest attack have led to a concomitant increase in use of chemical pesticides. Soil contamination is always related to subsurface and ground water contamination which can be contaminated by point source and diffuse contamination. Major sources of water pollution due to pesticides include agricultural, domestic, and industrial waste.
