ABSTRACT

A subjective sense is a production associated with any symbolic process involved with human emotionality. The concept of subjective sense asserts the ontological definition of a qualitatively differentiated type of human phenomenon, both individual and social, which, in its processualism of organization and rupture, defines the broader system conceptualized as subjectivity. Subjective configuration “is a relatively stable organization of subjective senses related to a particular event, activity, or social production”. Unlike the notion of “mental illness”, the subjective configuration of mental disorder emerges from multiple subjective senses related to singular processes in individual and social histories, which are articulated to the complex social networks in which human actions occur. The theoretical concept of subjective configuration is not limited to representing the integration of different subjective senses, but fundamentally explains theoretically the organization acting in the production of these subjective senses.
