ABSTRACT

Finally, Chapter 5 is the conclusion. This is conceived as an afterword reflection upon what has been written, the final stage of writing as inquiry, the beginning of the afterlife of the text. Hence the text begins with a reflection on this writing. Then, it addresses three concepts that emerge from that work: hybridity, cosmopolitism, and translation. I suggest that a cosmopolitan project in Curriculum Studies can be reached in the liminal space of translation, and particularly in the translation of those untranslatables that exist in every culture. Those are the words that trigger conversation and keep it going. The words we need the most.
